In an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Will Smith admits that he had some major shoes to fill in his new role as the Genie in the revamped version of the film Aladdin.

He told Fallon on Monday night (May 6), “I got presented to play the Genie in Aladdin and the first thing is ‘hell no,’ you know? Robin Williams smashed that role… when you look at things like that you always try to find, like, what would you do differently?” he said. “What would you add to that?”After thinking about the job opportunity and meeting with Ritchie, Smith said he started playing around with the music and putting his own version to some of the songs.

The Oscar-nominated rapper began giving Fallon a sample of the raps he produced for the upcoming film.
